Bring On The Season Super Bowl!

Monday, 23 January 2012 12:36

After almost 5 months we are only one game away from answering the question of 'Which NFL team has the smartest fans?'. The Conference Championship round of The Season had two extremely close games, but in the end Houston and Tampa Bay fans would not be denied their rematch.   The Season Super Bowl is up next, but before we get there let's recap the Conference Championship round.

Tampa Bay Bucs 17,941 - Green Bay Packers 16,563

So...So...Close! Tampa Bay fans posted their worst score of The Season, and yet still managed to squeak out the victory. Green Bay fans should be applauded for rallying at the end of The Season and getting this deep in the playoffs after losing 4 out of 5 games at one point.  There were no cries or outrage on facebook, although I imagine if the outcome had be different someone would've complained. Funny how that works. Congratulations to the Tampa Bay fans, and good luck trying to become the first undefeated champions since the '72 Dolphins!

Houston Texans 17,944 - Kansas City Chiefs 17,735

On the Levels of Losing scale, I think losing The Season Conference Championship game by 209 points rates as a "Stomach Punch" loss.  Kansas City Chiefs fans deserve admiration for really coming out of nowhere, winning the smartest division in The Season and coming within a hair of upsetting the #2 ranked team. At the end of the day, Houston Texans fans could not be stopped, and they will get the chance to avenge their regular season loss to Tampa Bay in The Season Super Bowl.

Buzztime's The Season: HoustonHouston: Trivia Capital of The U.S.A?

Buzztime has held two nationwide team/bar contests: The Smartest Bar and The Season. Houston's Mezzanine Lounge has already been crowned Buzztime's Smartest Bar. What if the Houston Texans fans are crowned the NFL's smartest fans? Would that make Houston, unquestionably, the smartest city in the U.S? Or at least the trivia capital? Tampa Bay has more on the line in this game than just The Season Super Bowl; they have a chance to prevent Houston from having more bragging rights than is safe for any person, team or city to have.

Tampa Bay beat Houston pretty easily in their regular season match-up. It will be an exciting Super Bowl!

Time To Bandwagon

Dear Kansas City and Green Bay fans-

it was a fun ride. You battled and showed some impressive brain power. However, the time has come for you to swallow your pride and bandwagon to the team you think can win it all. Make sure you bandwagon, because every time you play for a winning team you can win $50!
